{"id":1024,"date":"2017-04-04T00:42:48","date_gmt":"2017-04-03T22:42:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.scandinavianknit.com\/?p=1024"},"modified":"2017-04-04T00:42:48","modified_gmt":"2017-04-03T22:42:48","slug":"knitting-mojo-has-it-gone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/scandinavianknit.com\/index.php\/2017\/04\/04\/knitting-mojo-has-it-gone\/","title":{"rendered":"Knitting Mojo &#8211; has it gone?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Have you ever experienced that your knitting mojo disappeared?!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scandinavianknit.com\/im-completely-done-with-knitting\/\">I wrote about it before<\/a>, but now I&#8217;m going to teach a workshop on <a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/NvoGhO\">how to find your knitting mojo<\/a>!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">What is Knitting mojo?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: Georgia, Palatino;\">Knitting Mojo:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">The feeling that keeps you knitting<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Keeps\u00a0the knitting ideas\u00a0coming<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Makes your eyes eat the colors in the yarn shop<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Makes your fingers wanders over the yarn fibers<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Makes you spend hours on Ravelry, Pinterest, Instagram finding patterns to knit\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">And a lot more!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">But sometimes someting awful happens: you look at your knitting without ever wanting to knit a single stitch! <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">It&#8217;s like someone has cast a spell on you: what on earth where you doing before? <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">With all that boring yarn and needles. \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">And why<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0on earth you buy\u00a0all that yarn?!<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Ouch<\/strong>!! <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">That is painful! <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Going from having a hobby that you love, that keeps your hands busy, makes you create wonderful things, to this?\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Not ever wanting to knit again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">That&#8217;s bad!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 14pt;\">What to do when the knitting mojo has gone?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">I have tried it enough times to know how to handle it!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Relaxe &#8211; take to some time not to worry about it<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Surround with things that inspirere you<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">Be prepared!<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">&#8220;Be prepared&#8221;?! Thats so much easier said than done! When you&#8217;ve got you mojo working, you don&#8217;t ever expect it to disappear, so why prepare for it? Well because it can be a &#8220;life saver&#8221; for you mojo if it happens and if it don&#8217;t you&#8217;ll find that it can be a very special place to go to for inspiration.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Palatino; font-size: 12pt;\">It&#8217;s at the knitting festival, Knitwork Stockholm 2017, I&#8217;ll be teaching a workshop called &#8220;Find your knitting mojo&#8221;. At the workshop you will learn how to make a &#8220;suitcase&#8221; full of stuff that inspires you and make you glad!
