The Stars and Stripes Scarf.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n

A pattern made with love from Sweden<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\"Sm\u00e5land,<\/a><\/p>\n

Needles: size 4 (or 3.5 mm) circular needles 16\u2033<\/span><\/p>\n

Yarn: 300 gr. \u00a0light fingering yarn*\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Color A: White<\/span><\/p>\n

Color B: Red<\/span><\/p>\n

Color C: Blue<\/span><\/p>\n

Gauge: 30 sts 4″ (this is not that important for this pattern)<\/span><\/p>\n

* I can recommend yarn from <\/span>Ullcentrum.com<\/span><\/a>, their wool is spun from pure Swedish wool from \u00d6land or even better; find some yarn from a happy sheep near you. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Cast on 180 stitchs in color A.<\/span><\/p>\n

Place a marker and join to work in the round.<\/span><\/p>\n

Be careful not to twist the stitches<\/span><\/p>\n

Knit 4 rows with color A, white<\/span><\/p>\n

Row 5: knit with color B, red<\/span><\/p>\n

Row 6: knit color A, white<\/span><\/p>\n

Continue knitting one red and one white row until your work is aprox 30\u201d or 75 cm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cut the red yarn (leave 4\u201d or 10 cm to fasten the end)<\/span><\/p>\n

Change to color C and knit 6 rows.<\/span><\/p>\n

Start knitting the \u201cmini-stars\u201d, chart 1. (Ordinary lice pattern)<\/span><\/p>\n

Knit 26\u201d (or 65 cm)<\/span><\/p>\n

Knit 2 rows without pattern.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. row: start knitting chart 2, the stars.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Cont. knitting 1\u201d (or 2,5 cm) with the blue yarn.<\/span><\/p>\n

For the rest of the scarf: <\/span><\/p>\n

Knit 10 rows white, 10 rows red. approx 30\u201d or 75 cm or as long as you may like the scarf.<\/span><\/p>\n
